Welcome to my site! Please check out our new section, Henry's Discussion Forum to dive into some cool topics.
I’m a Project Engineer at Jansons Associates, a specialty construction firm, where I work primarily on healthcare construction projects. My focus includes designing specialty exhaust systems and performing fluid flow analysis for these applications, where I’ve developed strong expertise in fluid flow calculations and modeling. Most of the projects I work on are located in the New York City area, with several based in New Jersey.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University with a concentration in thermal fluids. During my time at Rice, I honed both technical and leadership skills as Project Lead for Engineers Without Borders, where I oversaw the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge in a remote community, managing a $35,000 budget and leading a 25-person team. I also contributed to student governance through the Student Association, where I helped restructure the Blanket Tax Committee, responsible for allocating $500,000 annually to student organizations.
I am passionate about sustainable construction, renewable energy, and the intersection of engineering with finance and economics, areas I explored academically and continue to pursue personally.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling (31 countries across five continents so far), playing pickleball with friends, and continually expanding my knowledge through reading and art. Additionally, I am a big history fan, where my favorite historical periods are the Renaissance due to its art movement and the Roman Empire due to the impressive engineering that emerged without the aid of any software, calculator, or strict set of construction codes.
I consider myself a world citizen, having lived in Saudi Arabia, Nicaragua, and the U.S., where I've been fortunate enough to cultivate a global perspective that complements my engineering career, adaptability, and passion for sustainability, considering the drastic difference between the regions.
I’m always eager to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about tackling today’s engineering and sustainability challenges. Feel free to reach out via the contact page if our interests align.
